SAARC Writers President Nilanthi Rajapakse Meets Khalsa College Faculty During India Visit

New Delhi: During her visit to India, Prof. Nilanthi Rajapakse of Sri Lanka met with professors and students at Khalsa College, University of Delhi. Prof. Nilanthi serves as the International President of the SAARC Writers Forum. During this trip, she visited various Indian institutions, including Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Delhi University, and several other organizations.


In today’s meeting, she met with faculty members of Delhi University, along with Prof. Smita Mishra (Member of the International Committee of the SAARC Journalist Forum) and Sudhanshu Aniruddha (President of the SAARC Journalist Forum). During the discussion, emphasis was placed on creating synergy between India, Sri Lanka, the SAARC Journalist Forum, and the SAARC Writers Forum. In the future, both forums will collaborate on ground-level initiatives in India and Sri Lanka.

Speaking on the occasion, she said, “Coming here has made me more aware of my responsibilities. Meeting all of you makes me feel that through programs like literary meets, countries can come closer together. We will continue our efforts.” The event was attended by Dr. Amarendra Pandey and Dr. Sunil Verma of Khalsa College, along with Sri Lankan research scholars Hansini and Sugandhi. Students of Delhi University took advantage of this opportunity and expressed their gratitude to the SAARC Writers Forum.
