75th Anniversary Celebrations Commence at SGTB Khalsa College, Delhi University; Special Commemorative Logo Unveiled

NEW DELHI — Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, University of Delhi, officially launched the celebrations for its historic 75th anniversary on Wednesday with the formal unveiling of its special 75th Year Celebrations logo. Designed to represent the institution’s rich heritage, present achievements, and future aspirations, the logo marks the beginning of a year-long milestone celebration.

The unveiling event was graced by Chief Guest Justice Talwant Singh, Chairperson of the East District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Delhi, and former Judge of the Delhi High Court. Also present on the dais were Sardar Tarlochan Singh, Chairman of the College Governing Body, and Sardar Inderpreet Singh Kochar, Treasurer of the College.

Addressing the audience, Justice Talwant Singh praised the institution’s legacy, stating, “The 75-year journey of the college is an inspiring example of both educational excellence and social commitment. This occasion offers us an opportunity not only to remember our glorious heritage but also to dedicate ourselves to new possibilities for the future.”

Highlighting the college’s societal contributions, Chairman Sardar Tarlochan Singh noted, “The 75-year journey of the college is truly a matter of pride. Alongside academic excellence, this institution has played a vital role in strengthening cultural and social values.”

Echoing these sentiments, Treasurer Sardar Inderpreet Singh Kochar added, “This 75-year milestone symbolizes continuous progress, achievements, and an unwavering commitment to institutional values. It reinforces our resolve to draw inspiration from past accomplishments as we take the college to new heights.”

College Principal Prof. Gurumohinder Singh emphasized that the institution’s journey has been defined by academic excellence, rich traditions, and human values, calling the commemorative logo a symbol of its proud legacy and commitment to the future. Furthermore, Prof. Parminder Kaur Narang, Convener of the Logo Committee, highlighted that the design captures the core spirit, values, and ongoing progress of the college.

As part of the inaugural day events, the college also conducted an orientation program to familiarize newly admitted students with the academic system, campus facilities, co-curricular activities, and institutional traditions. Additionally, a newly renovated college canteen was inaugurated to provide enhanced amenities for the student body and staff.

To mark the 75th year, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College will host a series of academic, literary, cultural, and social programs throughout the year, celebrating its historical journey and outlining its vision for the future.
